'Failed to enable .NET Framework 3.5' error during Editor installation
During Editor installation I'm getting 'Failed to enable .NET Framework 3.5: Unity might nor run after the install has completed.' error message.
Getting this for 5.5.1f1 and 5.6.0b6, on clean Win 8.1 (new installation with default updates).
Doesn't repro on 5.4.4p2 and 5.3.7p4

I had the same problem with mine. When I try and run Unity, I'm getting an error about jain files it can find and a crash bug report submission form opens up instead. My suggestion:
1) Either the latest versions are what contain the glitches OR
2) No version will install on Windows 10 or later so:
A) Downgrade to an earlier version of Windows
B) Install an older version of Unity or wait until Unity release a fix on this issue

It says the issue has been resolved but I see no answer here.
