Editor claims BC7 texture format is not supported for Universal Windows Platform when it actually works fine
Editor claims BC7 texture format is not supported for Universal Windows Platform when it actually works fine
Repro steps:
1. Open the attached project.
2. Click on "Assets/Untitled.png" in the project.
3. Navigate to the inspector and change texture format to BC7.
4. Hit apply.
5. Notice this error message in the console:
Selected texture format 'RGB(A) Compressed BC7' for platform 'Windows Store Apps' is not valid with the current texture type 'Image'.
UnityEngine.GUIUtility:ProcessEvent (int,intptr,bool&)
Note that if you build to Universal Windows Platform and use the texture, it will work just fine and will actually use BC7 format.
