Detached Audio Source is not released from browser memory when Audio stops playing in WebGL Player
How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached “IN-136169“ project
2. Open the “SampleScene“ scene
3. Build and Run the Player for the WebGL platform and open it in the Chrome browser
4. Click the “Compressed in Memory“ button in the Player
5. Wait until the red number counter above the “Compressed in Memory“ button reaches 1300
6. Repeat step 4
7. Open and observe the browser Console
Actual result: “Ran out of virtual channels” errors are present
Expected result: “Ran out of virtual channels” errors are not present
Reproducible with: 2023.1.0a1, 6000.0.70f1, 6000.3.10f1, 6000.4.0b11, 6000.5.0a8
Reproducible on: Windows 11
Not reproducible on: No other environments tested
Notes:
- Audio Source has to be playing Audio with Load Type set to “Compressed in Memory“
- Reproduces in Chrome and Edge browsers, does not reproduce in Firefox
- Only reproduces when playing Audio that is 10 seconds or longer
