Data validation rules for Package Name are different between Package Creation and Edit views
Steps to reproduce:
- Open the attached project
- Open the Package Manager window
- Click the + button and select the Create Package option
- Set the Package name to "_test2"
- Once the Package is created, click Manage -> Edit Manifest
- Observe the Inspector window
Actual results: An Invalid Package Name error is shown in the Inspector window
Expected results:
- Technical name accepted in the package creator should not result in an error in the inspector window
Reproducible with versions: 6000.3.0a4
Can’t test with versions: 6000.3.0a2 or earlier (Feature was introduced in 6000.3.0a3)
Tested on (OS): macOS 15.5, Ubuntu 24
