Compilation error is not shown in the Console window when using generic type
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached "case_1320502" project
2. Open the "ResourceImageDownloader_1.cs" script
3. Note that the IDE shows a compilation error at line 10
4. Open the Editor and observe the Console window
Expected result: a compilation error is logged in the Console window
Actual result: the error is not shown in the Console window
Reproducible with: 2018.4.33f1, 2019.4.23f1, 2020.2.0a11
Not reproducible with: 2020.2.0a12, 2020.3.3f1, 2021.1.0f1, 2021.2.0a10
The expected error message:
Assets\ResourceImageDownloader_1.cs(10,13): error CS8761: Operator '==' cannot be applied to 'default' and operand of type 'T' because it is a type parameter that is not known to be a reference type
