[Android] Cardboard SDK crashes when switching back to VR mode
To reproduce:
1. Download attached project "Apps vrv prod 29 11 2017 5.6.2.zip" and open in Unity
2. Build and run the project on an Android device
3. Select video from the list
4. Select Cardboard
Note: Wait till video launches and see that everything works fine
5. Press "X" in the corner of screen and select video again from the list
Expected Result: Video successfully loads again
Actual Result: APK crashes
Notes:
- Stack trace is shared in comments section
- It seems like if you use UnityEngine.VR, then everything works as expected, but if you use UnityEngine.XR, then APK crashes
Devices:
- Google Pixel 2, OS: 8.1.0, CPU: arm64-v8a, GPU: Adreno (TM) 540
- Samsung Galaxy Note 8, OS: 7.1.1, CPU: arm64-v8a, GPU: Adreno (TM) 540
Reproduced on Unity 2017.2.0b1, 2017.2.2f1 and 2017.3.1p34
Not reproduced on Unity 5.6.5p1 and 2017.1.3p1
Regression on Unity 2017.2.0b1
Could not check is this fixed because in Unity 2018.1 and 2018.2 Google VR becomes corrupted
