Same issue here, attempting to import Rock and Boulders 2 asset following a course and I tried 2020.3.12f1 first, I then downloaded the versions of Unity the course was using (2019.1.0f2 and 2018.2.10f1) and I get same results. I can download the asset but when I click import I get a loading bar that fills half way and then nothing appears in the Assets folder nor do I get a window asking which assets to import as it normally does. I started fresh projects for each version, only attempting to download the assets and I can't find where I can track down the error.

I have the same issue, dont seem to be specific unity version related. This is a very old issue for me going back to unity 2018 and still exists in unity 2020 but it always worked if i used the asset store from within unity.
Now thats gone and i cant use the assetstore at all.
I think its windows settings being to strict or something i also cant drop files directly into the project window, i need to open the folder and insert it there.
I think those two issues are related as i've had both those issues since i switched pc.
