Asset reference name is lost in existing shaders when the kernel line is removed in the script
How to reproduce:
1. Open attached project "New Unity Project (2).zip"
2. Select "Test" GameObject
3. Look at the "TestShader" component in the Hierarchy
Expected result: Asset reference name is lost
Actual result: Asset reference name is not lost
Reproducible with - 2019.4.25f1, 2020.3.7f1, 2021.1.5f1, 2021.2.a17
Missing shader errors instead - 2018.4
