[2023.2] HDRP Asset Settings Helper throws a NullReferenceException
How to reproduce:
- Open the attached project named WaterSampleProject
- Open Glacier Scene located in Samples/High Definition RP/16.0.4/Water Samples/Scenes
- Observe the Scene view and the Console window
Expected results: No errors are thrown and the scene is rendered
Actual results: NullReferenceException is thrown and the scene is not rendered
Reproducible with: 2023.2.4f1
Not reproducible with: 2021.3.33f1, 2022.3.15f1(Water Samples are not present), 2023.2.3f1, 2023.3.0a18 (HDRP Asset Settings Helper works correctly with Water Samples)
Notes:
- Introduced in 2023.2.4f1
- Reproducible on Windows 11 and MacOS
- 3D (HDRP) Template was used with Water Samples imported using the Package Manager to create the repro project
