[2020.3] Selection in the Timeline window is slow when the Device Simulator window is open
How to reproduce:
1. Create a new project
2. Open the Device Simulator window
3. Open the Timeline window
4. Left-click and drag the mouse to make a selection
5. Observe the result
Expected result: Selection rectangle is not slow
Actual result: Selection rectangle is slow
Reproducible with: 3.1.0-preview (2020.3.44f1, 2021.1.0a1)
Not reproducible with: 1.0.0 (2021.1.0a2, 2021.3.18f1, 2022.2.5f1, 2023.1.0b2)
Reproduced on: macOS 12.4 (Intel)
Note: Not reproducible if closing the Device Simulator window

Device Simulator is a preview package in 2020.3. In newer Unity versions, Device Simulator is integrated into the product and does not have this issue.
