AI Navigation Sample Scenes do not work and throws “InvalidOperationException”, “Curl error3”, “CrashReporter”, and “NullReferenceException” errors when using the new Input System Package (default) on a new project

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a new Unity project using the Universal 3D template
  2. Open the Package Manager window (Window > Package Management > Package Manager)
  3. Select the "AI Navigation" package
  4. Open the Samples tab
  5. Import the "Build And Connect NavMesh Surfaces" sample
  6. Open the Assets/Samples/AI Navigation/2.0.12/Build And Connect NavMesh Surfaces/Scenes/1_multiple_agent_sizes.unity" Scene
  7. Enter Play Mode
  8. Try clicking around the Game View
  9. Exit Play Mode
  10. Observe the Console window

Actual results: The sample does not work and throws “InvalidOperationException”, “Curl error3”, “CrashReporter”, and “NullReferenceException” errors

Expected results: No errors are thrown and the samples work as intended

Reproducible with versions: 2023.1.0a3, 6000.0.75f1, 6000.3.15f1, 6000.4.7f1, 6000.5.0b8, 6000.6.0a5

Tested on (OS): MacOS Silicon Tahoe 26.3
